NAVEED ANJUM

With more than 20 years of experience in finance and financial advisory, Mr. Naveed has extensive expertise in a variety of corporate advisory services including M&As, venture capital, private equity, and real estate investment trusts (REITs). He was EVP of Cross Asset Advisory Group (CAAG) at AKD Securities Limited / AKD Group. Naveed has overseen key internal strategic transactions and has been Project Director for the privatization of SME Bank Limited under the Government’s privatization program. Key transaction advisory and structuring experience includes AKD Group’s strategic sell of Gawadar Port Companies to China Overseas Port Holding Company (COPHC) in 2013 as well as stake sale of Dv com Data (Private) Limited – having 1900 MHz spectrum to PTCL in 2015. He co-lead the acquisition transaction of BIPL Securities Limited by AKD Securities Limited and subsequently its merger with AKD Securities Limited. He also has been dealing in REIT Transactions including licensing matters and Establishment of REITs. Other transactions include from Steel and Pharma sector. Additionally, Mr. Naveed was responsible for overseeing compliance, regulatory affairs, and taxation at AKD Group, with a strong focus on corporate laws, secretarial practices, prudential regulations, non-banking finance companies’ rules and regulations, Pakistan Stock Exchange regulations, and corporate taxation. Mr. Naveed served as nominee director from AKD Group on the board of portfolio companies of AKD Venture Fund Limited and have overseen the venture capital arm of AKD Group for more than 12 years. Mr. Naveed holds a degree in commerce and subsequently embarked on the path of chartered accountancy and completed his five years mandatory article ship with Riaz Ahmad & Company, Chartered Accountants.
